Laura Meilland began playing the cello at the age of six and followed a dual academic and musical curriculum at the CRR of Paris. She continued her advanced studies in the excellence program at the CRR of Rueil-Malmaison, and in 2018 joined the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne in the class of François Salque, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in 2021 and a Master’s degree in 2023.
She performs regularly in concerts and festivals (including the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra and the Pablo Casals Festival), is a core member of the chamber ensemble Le Bestiaire, and participates in musical theatre projects in Paris and on tour. She recently performed solo in Angelica Liddell’s latest production at the Cour d’Honneur of the Palais des Papes in Avignon and at the Odéon Theatre in Paris.
She also teaches the cello through private and group lessons.
